Program Cancellations (Return and Refund Policy)
The Nelson Skating Club has a no return and/or refund policy for any Program once the Program has started.
- When a new skater (non-member) registers for a program, Skate Canada immediately issues a Skate Canada Membership number.
- If at any point a registrant decides not to participate in the program and if the Skate Canada membership fee has already been paid (by any method), the Club provides a refund less that Skate Canada fee.
- Should a registrant attend 1 session and decides not to continue with the program, a refund for the skating program will be permitted less the Skate Canada fee.
- A full refund will be granted if a Program is cancelled.
- The Nelson Skating Club does not offer make-up classes or refunds of any missed classes with the exception of Medical Circumstances (see below).
- Medical Circumstances: A skater must miss 6 consecutive, registered skating days or more to qualify. A doctor’s certificate must be included with your written request for a refund. The refund will be pro-rated from the date of the illness/injury per the medical documentation.
